Alice Y. Hirsh, (1888-1935)
Some of her best paintings are her Ashcan School paintings of the different areas of the New York city. Alice was a scene painter that really cherished her urban New York life. But she was not only limited to painting New York, her travels took her to Woodstock and other areas of Upstate New York, Vermont, Spain, Normandy and California. She exhibited at the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, Morton Galleries, and the Montross Gallery , both located in New York.
